A Crochet extravaganza with Jane Crowfoot
Earlier this April we were lucky enough to be in the presence of a crochet superstar, the one and only Jane Crowfoot came to visit the Craft Barn in Warrington. It was a crochet extravaganza! Jane held a Fruit Garden tea party, which included a talk, themed around her Fruit Garden blanket with a glass of fizz for everyone, goody bags and Janie Crow themed cupcakes. Jane shared her design process and inspiration, including a selection of swatches showing how a motif is developed. Even for a designer it's not always right the first time! On the second day Jane taught two mini workshops of beaded crochet. We really enjoyed having Jane back in store and it was lovely to be able to hold an in person event again after two years.

Jane brought her back catalogue of sensational blankets to share. It was like walking through an art gallery with a bountiful display of intricate crochet. Incredible colours, textures and stitches to see. Whilst not everyone could make it to the Craft Barn to join in with our events we took lots of photos. Take a look at Jane’s designs below. We have tried our best to match every blanket up to one of the Janie Crow patterns. Jane does also have a website where you may be able to discover further information on some of them.
