Introducing the Keep Calm and Crochet On UK Filet Fantastic CAL 2021!
A bright and beautiful new blanket CAL for 2021 in an rejuvenating palette. The colour and pattern changes make this a project with plenty of interest as the design emerges.
Heather C Gibbs is the crochet obsessed blogger and designer behind Keep Calm and Crochet On UK. She's designed over 300 patterns to date which have appeared in both UK and US crochet magazines. Her favourite things to crochet are amigurumi, shawls and blankets - a mix of little, medium sized and large projects! Heather says of her inspiration: "I'd had the idea for a filet crochet along for a while before I started working on it. I love filet crochet and I just wanted to be able to show what it can do in a modern way. The result is a large, uniquely constructed, no sew together blanket that is great for adventurous beginners, for first timers of filet, or for anyone that loves joining in with a fun crochet community event."
"I’ve taken the old crochet technique of filet crochet and incorporating it into a new modern design. And the best part is that although filet crochet looks fancy it’s created with only two basic stitches so it’s a perfect CAL for crochet newbies."
Filet Fantastic will be released in 12 parts which are available for free on the Keep Calm and Crochet On UK Blog. It will also be available as an e-book on Ravelry for a nominal fee.
