We are delighted to be partnering with Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity and their ‘Deck the Halls’ campaign. We’ve had five bright and beautiful Christmas decorations designed by Sarah Hatton, Helen Ardley and our very own Sara. We have both knit and crochet and they are simple to make. Perfect for letting your imagination go wild and creating your own fun festive embellishments.
The patterns are available as digital downloads and all proceeds from the sales*, and 10% from each yarn pack, will be donated to Greater Manchester Mayor’s ‘A Bed Every Night’ campaign, supporting people experiencing homelessness. I’m sure you will agree with me that this is a fantastic cause to get behind at Christmas time! The patterns are just £2 each or you can buy all five for £9. Or you can even go one step further and pledge £30 for all the patterns, this is how much it costs to provide a bed for the night.
‘A Bed Every Night’ is the incredible initiative supporting people who are rough sleeping in Greater Manchester, and it provides more than just a bed for the night. Guests not only benefit from the warmth and security of their own bed and a friendly face, but also the support needed to help get them back on their feet and into more stable accommodation. It covers all ten boroughs of the city region and since it launched, has played a vital role in reducing the numbers of people rough sleeping.

There are three yarn packs to go with the decorations; Holly Jolly, Last Christmas & Merry & Bright. These contain four balls of the beautiful Rico Essentials Cotton DK and one ball of the super sparkly Rico Lame’. All kits are £19.95 and 10% of this will go directly to the charity.
Dr Fran Darlington-Pollock CEO, Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity says, “Black Sheep Wools are at the heart of a community of avid crafters not just in Greater Manchester, but extending across the North West and the UK! When inspiration struck for this festive campaign, they were our first choice to approach. Their enthusiasm and willingness to support has been incredible and we are all in love with the designs for the baubles. We know this campaign will not just raise funds to support A Bed Every Night, but get people talking about the charity, thinking about the importance of home, and perhaps even taking up a new hobby to wind down at the end of a hard week. We can’t wait to see what people come up with!”
