Black Sheep Wools Highlights of 2019
What a year 2019 was at Black Sheep Wools! We had so much going on at the Craft Barn and lots online too. We have gathered together our highlights of the year to share with you. There are even some unseen photos in the mix. Sometimes we take so many they don't all make it onto Instagram or Facebook. It is a nice way to round up the year in a yarny way. Whether you have joined in online with our crochet along or visited the shop for a spectacular in store event. We hope you have enjoyed being part of our 2019 story.
Attic24, Winwick Mum and Emma Varnam - a sensational crafty trio came to visit in March.
We did a fabulous series of Mindful Crochet Videos with Lynne Rowe. Lynne takes you through the basics of crochet, whilst taking a mindful approach to the craft. Lynne uses the sumptuous West Yorkshire Spinners Re:Treat yarn in her sample.
We celebrated Let's Knit Magazine Yarn Shop Day with Jem Weston (knitting), Cathy Wright (spinning) and Emma Varnam (crochet).
We launched our summer time make along project - Peppermint Tea Shawl designed by Lisa's Attik.
In summer the Craft Barn saw a wave of the crocheted granny square top phenomenon! Nearly every member of staff in the shop had been seen wearing a crocheted top before the summer was out. Made from two giant granny squares joined together.
