Workshop Details
Entrelac Knitting Workshop with Carol Meldrum
Saturday 28th September 2024 | 10.15am - 4.15pm
Learn how to manipulate your stitches using a combination of increasing, decreasing techniques and picking up stitches to create an Entrelac design.
The technique is worked in rows of square blocks, and each block is completed before moving on to the next one. This type of fabric gives a wonderful woven effect and is great for exploring colour combinations. On the day we will work through the basic techniques to make a sample swatch in rows, then cast on to make a cowl in the round.
Skills we aim to cover - working rows and in the round, increasing and decreasing
picking up stitches and changing colour.
You will need - 1 x 4.5mm or 5mm 60cm circular needle, locking stitch markers, scissors
and yarn needle.
There are 10 places on this workshop.
